Building kahli | July 2026 Recap: The Foundation Comes Together

A Month of Quiet Progress

At first glance, July might not seem like a month filled with major announcements. There wasn't a product launch or a convention to share. Instead, this month was spent building the foundation that will support kahli for years to come.

Some of the biggest milestones happen behind the scenes, and while customers may never notice many of these details, they are an important part of creating a brand that feels thoughtful, reliable, and built to last.

The Website Is Officially Live

One of the biggest milestones this month was making the kahli website publicly available.

With more than 200 products now listed, visitors can finally explore the growing collection of Japanese stationery, gifts, stickers, postcards, and accessories. While there is still plenty to improve over time, reaching this point feels like a meaningful step forward.

Getting the website online is just the start. There's still plenty to improve, and that's part of the fun.

Building Behind the Scenes

Much of July was dedicated to improving the parts of the business that customers rarely see.

This included setting up Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Merchant Center, shipping settings, and customer review tools. These systems may not be exciting on their own, but together they help create a better shopping experience and allow kahli to continue growing over time.

Many hours were also spent refining product pages, improving descriptions, organizing collections, and making small adjustments throughout the website.

Candle Development Continues

One of the most exciting projects has been the development of kahli's first candle collection.

Throughout the month, I continued experimenting with fragrance blends, testing different combinations, and learning how subtle changes can completely transform a scent. While the final fragrances are still being refined, each test brings the collection one step closer to becoming something I'm genuinely proud to share.

I'd rather take a little extra time now than release something I'm not completely happy with.

Looking Ahead

As July comes to a close, there is still plenty left to do.

The next chapter includes completing the final candle testing, preparing for future conventions, expanding original character products, and continuing to improve the website one detail at a time.

kahli is still in its early days, but every month makes the vision feel a little more real.
